Powell River in August?

Wifes got us camping with friends in Powell River, 2nd week in August. Is it worth spending the extra $500 ferry fees to drag the boat along? I think we re staying at willingdon beach camprground... Hows the salmon fishing there that time of year?

There’s no launch or marina at Willingdon Beach but Westview boat launch is only a 5 minute drive away and there’s great salmon fishing within a 15 minute boat ride in all directions that time of year.

Where you coming from? Drive the boat moorage in the south harbour. Anyway yes it’s worth it if you can sneak away

Ok ok sounds like I'll bring the boat...turns out the ferries were cheaper than I thought anyway, thanks guys...hope my wife doesn't miss me when Im gone fishing all the time
