Powell river boat launch

Travelling to powell river in a few weeks and then boating across to hardy island. Online it says the saltery bay and hummingbird cove launches are closed, is that true? If so which is the best spot to launch a boat and leave truck and trailer for a couple days?

Saltery bay boat launch is open, but it sucks. I’d say the best place would be the west view launch at the marina.

What kind of boat are you launching? Westview is the best except on a very low tide. Saltery bay will work but it depends on the boat and who can help you launch it has no breakwater and it’s rocky things can get nasty fast
