Potts Lagoon/cracroft island prawning

I'm going up to Potts Lagoon for work and would like to know if any one knows where to prawn in that location? Potts Lagoon is located just off Clio Channel Any info would greatly be appreciated.

Clio channel is where we would put them just a bit down from bend island and turnour rock there is some cool shelf's there in the middle 230 to 260 ft of water look on a chart you will see them, we used to get good crab in all over there PM me i can help you out.....

Hey Wolf, thanks for getting back to me. You mentioned a bit down from bend island and turnour rock, that meaning past bend island heading towards lagoon cove or before bend island? I looked on a chart and noticed a 260 ft between turnour and bend?

inbetween them both if you look there is some ledges so coming out of potts turnour rock will be in front of you and bend island to the right triangulate look around on your sounder you will find the shelfs, we used to get crab in at potts as well and further down barronett near the old mill.

Good luck spent 16 years of my life up there and loved it guiding every summer went thru that passage many times to remember our lodge stays at craycroft during the summer about 10 mins from potts, heres a pic from WAYYYYYY past look at the log behind me then try and find it, should be able to no problem good crab in any of the bays found that you need the fresh water streams near them to get them up there....
Have fun and take warm clothes IT CAN be cold there...

I did really well just outside Potts lagon for prawns. Easy limits for us there was some crab also.
