Question about the ramp at pacific gateway marina
I have a 24 boat on a 30ft trailer
Is there Lots of room at this ramp
How shallow is this ramp.
Info seems hard to find on this

Unless they changed the ramp recently it is only usable at mid to high tide. Also if there are swells it can be tricky. The launch is shallow and not much room before you hit a rock wall so you need a fair bit of water for a boat your size to use it.

The launch at the PR marina is good, but you have to deal with the low water levels in the river at low tide. Best bet is the launch on the native reserve, but parking is limited.

Ahh I forgot about that ramp. What number am I looking
For on the tide chart 2 or more ?
Boat sits pretty high on the trailer. Looks like it's a low tide all day when we arrive
On the first

You don't need to worry about low water when you launch at Butch's on the native reserve. You can launch there and dock wherever you want after that.

Your tide chart might be showing in meters, if you're talking about Aug 1st, before 6am and after 1030am there should be enough water to get out the river

11am today was .9m tide so I am guessing you need 1m or 3'
When I use to run the river I always liked to see a 3 foot tide just to be sure. You can get away with a bit less depending on the boat and how well you stick to the deepest channel....which moves around a bit.

First year fishing alone I ran the river mouth daily. Passable at all but the lowest tide for a 16-17' boat. Sand bar does move around a it from year to year. Took out 2 props in a week trying to get through on a low tide. No problem unloading the boat at the ramp on the reserve at any tide though.
