Port Hardy

What's happening around the Port Hardy area? Thinking of coming up that way mid July if things are looking good. Appreciate any info. Saltspringer

Salmon has been pretty slow...caught the hog only 15min out of hardy but not too much is going on...one good day in past many...but by mid july maybe it could change...have to check back then

Id call it decent at best, think we got a little spoiled last year if we are going to judge it against then.

My pal up in Hardy told me he got two 30's and a 32 last weekend.

In the last few days some fish have been showing up, the guys fishing at Duval Pt Lodge over the week-end pretty much limited out, some nice ones in the 30's. I think they are just starting to show up now, need some nice warm weather, that will help too!

Coming up to Hardy Thurs night with another ex Hardyite for a few days fishing. Heard they were mostly the white springs, football shaped.

So plans changed and i'm gonna be up in hardy for the first time fishin this weekend. We're hopin to get a couple chickens and have a go at the springs. Any advice would be great. Also where in Hardy does a guy pick up bait etc?

You should be able to get bait at the quarterdeck Marina store, right where you launch the boat.

The easiest is to fish Duval Pt which just at the start of Hardy Bay on the North side. Tip of the Gordon group can be good also.

ya , but we all know that the fishing HAS to be better if we run for an hour and burn all sorts of gas, or run around in circles hitting all the hotspots near Hardy----

I still remember one day that I almost ran to Cape Scott for nada. only to find that they had been slaying them at Duval!!!!

How is the fishing up out of Port Hardy ?
Have a trip scheduled July 13 -15. Curious as to how the hook-ups -catch is going.
Seems WC QCI is picking up on the springs and getting some coho moving in as well . Any guys been out thumping it ?
Any idea how WC QCI bears on the Pt. Hardy area- time-wise or not relevant ? ? Weather has looked pretty good .
