I really am curious about these fish I caught yesterday northeast of Revelstoke off Highway 1. I would think they were spawning salmon looking at them. They were pink there fins were damaged (I could tell from one that it had spots on its caudal fin). There were two different shapes with one without a hump and less of a hooked jaw. I should have taken more pictures, but I only took this one of what appears to be a male with a humped back. If it was 4 or more pounds I would guess it was a sockeye but the lack of size (10 inches long and less than 1 pound) is a mystery. If you know what fish this and could explain why it is so small please reply.

A land locked fresh water cousin of the sockeye (kokanee)

we have them on the island too but they are blue :D

they also work well as bait..... for samsquantches

they are sorta the same thing, thats why it looks like a spawning sockeye, yip, those are spawning kok's as for the size thats pretty much average
