Pink Salmon fishing Campbell river OR more SOUTH

Im going to the island to go Pink Salmon Fishing was planning on going to Campbell River BUT now im wondering if they pinks have come further south on the island so i wont have to drive from nanimo ferry to campbell river....any places closer with just as good as campbell river??

an i would like to say if you like chucking flies in the salt water beeches there is awesome estuary fishing from shore it lots of places south of campbell river for catching pinks an even the odd coho [:0]

Lotsa Pinks in Nanaimo river. Heard there are lots at millstream mouth too, dunno,jus hear say. Some fresh dead floaters left for the vultures at the end of Raines rd.
