Just a quick gear review FYI
With years of retailing and outfitting with many types of gear, we find that level wind reels for Halibut have been hard to keep going for long before repair is necessary.
This season we stocked a number of the Penn Squall 40's and have recently used a couple on one of our boats. For the cost, I am impressed with the quality, function and durability so far.
For those not familiar, these are the newer Black and Gold models.
Anyone else have feedback on these?
