Peetz Reels

I just got a few old Peetz reels from a friend and want to clean them up and get them ready for use. I took one apart and they seem just wood and brass. The brass is very rough, beyond brasso rough in some areas and was wondering if any of you guys got any experience with or tips on fixing up these old reels?

Rob if you are in Victoria they will redo them and recondition them at a small fee at the shop they have I do believe, they are on 2740 rock bay ave.or you can ship them to peetz there number is 383-5342
