Hey guys ,I caught a spring recently loaded with these, any ideas? I am thinkin they are the sand worms. Mabe I should try trolling a pink worm lol... But seriously Mabe a blood and bones needle!
I caught several springs this summer with worms in the system. They were more like a flat worm and more whitish, made me feel uncomfortable but saw no signs of any in the meat. Parasites would be my guess, but only a guess.
Wolf, wasnt talking about worms in the meat, sorry If I confused, these were quite large flat worms in the digestive system. Still going to eat the fish, yum,
Were those fish caght in the same area? I check the stomachs .of fish to get ideas what there feeding on. I dont know man I remember diggin in the sand at low tide and finding worms everywhere. So like I said do I troll a friggen pink worm?Dint seem like a parasite to me. Good fish though!!
I doubt that they were on the menu for the salmon that day, although I was corrected once before. I've cleaned many fish just teaming with live internal parasites in the gut. Probably not good for the fish, but I'm still here
