So you tilt the leg up and trap salt water inside the leg as it will only fully drain when the leg is fully down and out of the water which isn't possible while moored. If the boat sits for a week without use then some of the water evaporates and leaves the salt deposit attached to the inner leg, pump and pickup tube. Keep it wet is best until you haul out. Yes the 99% are wrong! lol
Chevy / Ford debate.. Ive been doing out for years and my mechanic says everything looks as good as the day it was bought..lol. Well almost. Everyone at my dock the legs are out. But i have been told by some that down is better and i do leave down sometimes. Oh and i bleach and love the new car wash in Sooke.
