I picked up a used Honda outboard to use on my tin boat. It’s got some serious corrosion issues on the outside casing (hasn’t made its way inside yet but will anyday now).
The motor still has perfect compression, and runs nicely so I would like to get the outside casing cleaned up if possible! (yes I know I took a bit of a gamble on this, but price was right and wanted to get out fishing).
Does anyone know of either a good shop or preferably an individual who could sand down (or sandblast) the casing, and repaint? Preferably located in Victoria or Sooke, but can tow up island as well. I’ve asked around but haven’t had much success.
I could probably do it myself, but would prefer to have it done by someone who actually knows what they are doing.
