Just got a 27ft Grady White Islander to replace the Campion as our 2nd boat...she looks like she will be a great boat, kept in great shape. Everything included...even downriggers...got her in the states for about 10K cheaper than any other boat we could find of equivalency. Can't wait to take her out come mid June. Only 300hrs on engines.

Cool how they stack em down there hey. Of all things the wifey and I both forgot to snap a pic of my Striper when they forked her off the dry stack. Thats a cool shot.

Great experience buying down there hey! . I'd do it again in a minute

That's the boat I would have liked to have, but I had to compromise.
I manage with a SeaRay.
My buddy has had a Grady for 2 years and he loves it.
 
This is a good boat for you and your Dad...you'll be happy with it...
I don't mind helping anyone find a Grady...just call
I personally like the older 92-93 sportbridge models as the best boat for our type of fishing but they are extremely hard to find in decent shape...
I've got another set up for next year and I firmly believe in Suzuki power...not that i don't think yamaha is good...just cna't beat a Suzuki as far as I'm concerned....
One last thing to say...
We are puting together a limited entry derby for August 21,22,23....stay tuned for details....

Nice boat and from the sounds of it just broke in. I love my Grady. Love the way it rides, fishes etc etc etc.
 
Nice Grady, congrats on picking one of the best charter vessels on the coast. Like you, we made a decision to run a 2003 265 Grady White Express for our charters this summer. I liked the lay out of this model because it is a foot wider and the covered cockpit area seats 6 guests out of the weather.

I sold the Yami's that she came up with (only 200 hours) and put Suzuki's on, which are in my view superior. I'm in the process of working out all the little details to get her set up to fish the way I like as well as get all the Transport Canada safety upgrades installed.

We also installed a rear steering helm to make the boat fish better, and it's what I'm used to running.

We should try to organize a Grady White Club for Vancouver Island. From what I was told there are some additional benefits to club members. One of my buddies who has the exact same boat is currently doing some research on how to start a club.

Thanks, yes I live in Nanoose, but Charter in Port Alberni and Bamfield. We are over here for a week testing the latest mods, then back to the shop next week for completion of my fix it list. Fishing was hot last week and died after Monday. They seem to have moved south. Still a few around. We got a 25 pound chinook today off Gerald.
