Opinions On Best Salmon Downrigger Rods

Seems like reasonable price from a decent quality maker. I love my Lamiglass X11 for river casting.

Bass Pro/Cabelas carried Lami's old glass rods and I imagine once things are back to normal will have the new edition.

my young son had a real good fish on and the MR3 flew right out of the seat. i managed to get it back on as quick as possible but the fish was long gone after that.

Tighten then up, then a couple wraps of black electrician tape so they don’t back out.

^^^ this... or if you can find any 3M “splicing tape“ it’s self-fusing, no adhesive, plush and waterproof
Also love the Techniums as well for the price, and the Islander mooching rod for higher end

in what sense? i've been fishing the 11'0 hard this year, and it's been solid... I will say though, that the cork seems cheap and wears easily.

A couple buddies have bought some newer ones in the last year or two and they have been blowing up. The older ones are much better.

Haven’t personally used any sage rods but if you want the absolute best that’s probably your bet. I’m running a pair of the g loomis rods and I love them. They are medium heavy witch I was worried i would not like as I prefer lighter gear but they work very well. I was looking into the loomis rods also hear they are very very good rods they were just not available locally for me

Hey nobody is buying islander stuff to be cost efficient haha. But yeah sage is better for less. My buddy has a custom sage rod that was like $750 and the trophy Titans are better
