Online tires

Thanks all. I'm glad I started this thread as it reminded me about Cedar Tire, where I now have a set of Falken AT4W's on hold after a quick phone call, for basically the same price as the online shops.
Love my falkens. I got like 180,000km out of the first set and have another set on now.

I second the idea of dedicated winter tires. Gets you more years out of your summer set of tires and better traction in icy conditions. I’ve always bought a used set of winter tires and steel rims in the spring time when people will let them go for $200-300

Yeah I hear the logic on dedicated winters but for me I don't think its worth it. I don't commute to work in my truck, it basically never leaves the island, and I just don't drive a lot in general. I probably average 10k a year, if that. Any longer trips would be during the camping/fishing season, and if we go any big distance in the winter we have a Rav4 we would be more likely to take. It's mostly about having some good wet weather treads for the more typical mid Island weather, and being able to deal with a bit of snow around town if I need to. And then towing manners in the spring/summer. I have no reason to be going over the Coquihalla in the middle of winter.
