Same thing happened to me once...was a clear piece of poly that we didn't see until with tilted it up. Let it sit for awhile and all was good. Hope it is that simple.

Happended to me two weeks ago in Barkley Sound. We tilted up the leg and there was a small piece of kelp covering the intake holes... SS

My motor is a mid 90's Yamaha. I had something similar (alarm). I found out it was a clogged in line oil filter on the oil reserve. Put a new one in an it was fine. I now carry and extra one on the boat.

if the pisser is not working at the moment could be that it's overheating that happens if you run over kelp and it klogs things up. Try turning on the motor putting it in reverse giving it gas and then back to forward see if the pisser gets going again.
Else try using a toothpick and poking it in the pisser hole to unclog it... NOTE make sure motor isn't running when you do that cause the water will be SCOULDING HOT.

Had a buzzer go off two years ago. Took it to tiptons outboards and it ended up being a blown head gasket. It was fine on the idle but after a minute or so at a higher rpm the buzzer went off.

Sometimes the thermostat will stick shut if the motor hasn't been run for a while. Tipton told me to just put it in neutral and give it a few quick revs. It always popped loose for me.
