This is a Luhr Jensen spoon. Does anyone know what it is and how old it is?

DOn't know anything about them, but I inherited 4 of them as well. I have them with different stripe colours, (Red, Green, and Blue) I have used them but with no real success. I think they might be real good for winter springs as they have a real "needlefish" look to them.

Going to give it a try soon anyways.
Didn't know everbody had one.

It's a "Coho Killer"....but those kind are made from heavier gauge metal than Silver Horde and they don't bend and get messed up as easy.

I have a couple of them......but I didn't know they came with the flipper tail originally.

They work good on winter springs when the needlefish are around.

Krippled Minnow I do believe ... ...... days gone by. Used to see tons of them 30 or so years ago from the wholesalers.

I always thought that that was the original kripple k...

My experience with the old style Coho Killer is that it caught more fisherman than it caught fish and that is why so many of us still have a few in our tackle boxes. I dragged one of those around a great deal in the seventies and it never really produced which is why they were delegated to the back of the box in the first place.
