does any one here know what type of oil i should be putting in my 1989 F250, 5L/302 5spd.. I bought it in november and the guy was telling me what type of oil it takes but i was looking at the truck:Di think it would take the same type of oil as 87-91 ford F series or maybe 92-96 F series. what type of oil do you have in your F series truck 96 and under for other ford truck owners.

I agree.... 10w30 would be right. That's what I used to use in my '87 Bronco.

With 220 km's on it, depending on what you use the truck for, I would go with a 10-40 or 20-50 in the summer and a lighter one in the winter. They make a 10-30 for vehicles with high milage and 220 km's is right around that area, I've seen it for sale in Canadian Tire.

ahh, went to walmart last night and bought 4 1L bottles of Pennzoil 10w30
