nylon down rigger line yes or no

Nylon isn't recommended for downriggers is it. It can crush the drum as it compresses it when spooled under tension. I think your talking about the new braided superlines they're selling for downriggers. I have ordered some from the states, but I haven't tried it yet.

No hum and less drag for better line angle on deep trolls and no rust. Not sure how you get nicks on rigger line but I have yet ot have any problems in two season. Palomar knot the ball clip and your are set. Over fill the spool so you can quickly re-rig in the event of a weight bottom snag/break off.

You will want to crimp those scotty brass crimps if you want to double stack to keep release clip from slipping up the line when you release for a bait check

I like the stuff because you get a ton of milage from braided - I figure 4-5years no problem.

Thanx for the input I didnt know how many people were useing this type of line, and if it was worth wile trying.
