Where were you that it was windy? The water was flat where I was.

Did you try to drag for them afterwards?

No hook to drag. What'd ya generally use for that? I've got a GPS waypoint of where I set and where I lost it so I could possibly go back.

I was out in Baynes the afternoon on the 29th. Where were you that it was calm? BWD said it would calm down in the afternoon so I pounded down to Mud Bay and dropped, then hung out behind Ship's Point. Marginally calmed down by 3:30 but still hammered my shallow boat back to Union after "the incident".
