Those asian carps are a serious problem. They were introduced in a couple of ponds in mississpi and escaped during a flood. They are voracious feeder and take over any water system. they are now about 20 km from the great lakes. the only thing preventing them to enter the great lake system in an electric fence. Should the system fails and those fish enter the great lakes, we are looking at the ecological collapse of the great lake and water system all the way to the gulf of St Lawrence. Comercial value for those fish are nil' Lots of small bones and stong fisshy taste...Wherever those fish get into, all other species disapear. Up to 98% of aquatic life consist of the asian carp in many rivers that they took hold of. They will eat almost half their body weight per day!!
