Yes it's a load of garbage the simple fact is that they use the same rods and the same reels as everyone else no one is cut plugging with 12# test and 2 ounce weight and even if they did they would place more</u> stress on the fish not less.

The people who cooked up that letter aren't the sharpest corn ships in the bag that's for sure.

is it really about cutplug vs. trolling or is that they don't want more traffic period to their spot?

Seems like a great way to keep the boat numbers down.

I just wonder what would be said if a group of buzz bombers decided they didn't want moochers and trollers screwing up there spot and wanted the nitinat for jiggers only.

So they plan on going after East point too hey.

Too many draggers to let this happen. So they may as well pack it up and go home.

Sorry, I still can't agree to yet another exclusive area. We have to learn to get along and be respectful of the needs of guys fishing differently. Long run thinking is needed here folks...we don't want to create a wave of special interest fisheries. Next thing we will have the great bait debate happening here in the salt........that BS ruined the comradeship in fresh water. Bad Karma to fight....let's just get along. Let's all have a Zen moment here and chill.

Not going to happen. That interest group has already gotten the ball rolling.

They don't want us to get along, they want to shut us down.

Sitka i would have to disagree. I was a guest of Matt's in the early days and the cutpluggers where always there. Lots of old timers in tinny's coming out of the lake. It was always a problem for both sides to get along. Will be interesting to see how this one play's out.

Not sure who Matt is, where he is based, but back when I fished it, the only guys who where there were the Tin boats of Tyee, Billy Mac (Imperial Eagle Charters), Ian Garcia, Jody, Ian and myself. Yes there was the odd small tin boat from the lake, but as far as I can remember, I never saw a cut plugger. But it they were there, and Matt was there, then they were in a different place than we fished..........or my memory is not like it used to be.:);)

Not trying to start an argument, but back then, there would only be 10 or so boats there and a few of us used to all run together as it was along run. So we would meet at Beale and go as a group...usually. Much safer that way. Then after the spring bite slowed down, and the weather looked good, we would run offshore and bucktail for coho.

Cheers

So, what would the proper etiquette be between trollers and moochers?
Trollers should go around the slower boats and give them room. The slower boats should make sure to compleat the tac and not short tac the honey hole.

Time, if your a troller you use the right finger, moochers must use the left finger.
