I've drifted the Nitnat a few times for Steelhead.
Timing is the key as it's such a small river-no rain=no water=no fish.

Dog breath-
How long did it take you to drift the river where did you start and end, is it a pretty calm river or should I know it a bit better before I go ? . Iv been up there a couple times my self every time the river is to low and slow to fish. Has anbody had much luck fishign it ?

Hey Maddog,

You mean the 15th right (not the 5th). That is if you plan to bonk a few. River's closed for retention 'til then amigo.

I hear they're not planning to open the San Juan on Oct 1st this year either. That puts a dent in my annual Fishapalooza expedition; I guess I'll just go shoulder up to the masses on the Stamp.

Hey, what's the difference between a good cougar track and a bad one?

A good one is on the ground, a bad one is on your back.

Cheers,
Alex

... "high water" is when you can fish from your car.

Thanks for the info Alex, my frezer is full and i need to do some major canning, so unless my native freind vinnie of the woods makes a showing the club will be staying home. The quads will be gettting a couple of miles on them with the odd stop for a cast or two if the water keeps falling. <img src=icon_smile_cool.gif border=0 align=middle>

Hey Fins, glad to see you and Vince on board with the fly gear. It took me a while to get you away from your usual gear but I think you're both better off for it.
I'm proud of both of you!

Yes Biggest you taught us well ! We adapt when we have too. Now if we could just get Doggie off the gear. Good too have you on board, look forward to your reports and info.

Tournament Proven !
