So I think it looks like enough people are into it around here and on the board to go ahead with a little fun derby For New Years.

I'm thinking it's probably safer to have it the day of New Years eve rather than New Years day - from an able to move point of view.

Then of course on New Years Eve the big shindig...

I don't know, maybey $20 a head, winner takes all or something just to keep it simple? We'll do weigh in at Mills Landing with a big fire and bbq up some grub before the shindig.

Get any fish yesterday? I went past you in the morning and dropped the prawn traps.

Didn't actually drop the gear, was just cruising out to the traps on the kicker to save some hours on the main. Saw you were prospecting a few spots out there.

I'll be headed back out in about an hour or so to check again. Stop and say hi if you see me out there. Sure was nice yesterday hey?

I Missed something. Were's the dirby? Looking to get away, from the norm for new years. All I nead is some overnight moorage for the old Hotel Room. A derby would be most delightful.

Osama seems to have left the country......Derby didn't happen.
We did fish New Years day for a couple of hours and got 4 fish
in the 6 - 10 pound range. Cop car spoon did the trick

Hey Ken, had to fly the coop after all. Family wasn't accepting no for an answer this xmas, been a long time since I've made that journey.

Other than you, I didn't hear of anyone fishing. Glad to hear you made out well. Guess you won! I'll buy you a beer next time I see you.

Were you in the harbour or out front? How deep? Was there still a ton of bait around?

I'm going to give it a whirl for a couple of hours this morning I think. I actually saw a beauty on the surface at dusk yesterday right in the harbour.

If people are really into it next year, we could organize something concrete, tickets, ect. Need to have commitment from several in advance and could plan a hell of an event.
