Most folks know me or at least know of me for my lifelong time in the fishing tackle industry and for my ardent hobby of collecting fun and useful and unique vintage coastal focused fishing tackle. Rods, reels, lures, flashers and dodgers. We all know where my passion lies in both business, general life and in a hobby sense. And we all know how determined I am to make PEETZ the iconic brand that it deserves to be.
For the past few years I have been liquidating a majority of my collection in order to help keep PEETZ alive and running. I haven't actually paid myself for a few years, hence why I have been piecing out my prized possessions at an alarming liquidation rate.
Anyway, I kind of wish I thought of this sooner, long before I started offloading as I had some really cool things. I still do, but much much less now. So my brain loves the historical value of the past and all of it's tackle creations from many great west coast US and Canada born brands. So before all of my things are all gone to new homes, my brain said - Robert, start recording what's left in your tickle trunk, share it with the angling world.
I happened to agree, I had to take action right away before Me, Myself and I disagreed in one form or another.
Anyhow, I made a new channel on Instagram called "Vintagetackle", where I intend to make regular posts and share information and values based upon a hoarders perspective. Of course there will always be other opinions regarding value, but this is just my view and take on it.
Let's not forget the buyer and the seller need to find their happy spots.
