Anyone have any experience with these? I like the spooled line. Saves a bunch of space and hassle.

I asked the guy some questions. It's for single traps only. Spools break if you try pulling strings of traps. I assume that means they're plastic.

The arm is removable, sits in a socket.

thats a hard no for me.... stick with a scotty or ace puller and just coil the rope in a bucket/tote/etc. there's a reason why you dont see those everywhere

Absolutely. Weld appearance should not matter when doing a prototype. Clean it up for investor meetings, if tht is happening, but other than that it seems non consequential.

hands down the best trap puller i have used. uses either regular line or thin line. I found some 1/8" 700lb sinking line i use for it. I can get 3 lines of 200ft crab line on a spool or 2 runs of prawn line on one spool. Have pulled mutiple traps with it. SUPER SIMPLE NO MUSS NO FUSS..... down side, well its a little pricey. But I have had zero problems setting/ pulling by myself on the boat in all weather conditions ... take a look
