Yes, plenty of it, but not what you would be used to. Steelhead, Rainbow, Dollies, Cutthroat, Bass, and all species of Salmon that can be caught in freshwater. You need to move to the Rock.

Welcome perchman. My Dad's side of the family all hail from Sask. Yes there is lot's of freshwater fishing on the Island. You'll love it here.

Welcome perchman. The Island is awesome.......... but don't tell anyone:)
I miss the days in the ice shack in Sask. Nothin catches a perch like a perch eye on a tiny single.

Translation-- take my quota of these little invasive bastards that dont belong on Vancouver Island...

Different perch there CL.

Me thinks Cuba is thinking of the same... They are showing up down here.

I've never got any of size myself but I want to try some.

That I would eat....

Now that's a perch! A dozen would make a dandy frie-up.

Welcome to the rock Perchman. I left the prairies years ago. Best thing about freshwater fishing on the Island is that you fish 365 days a year without having to jump on the skidoo and run out to the ice fishin hut. Try it you'll love it!
