The Trend Flow will be near identical dimensions as the TMX5, along with the same interior mechanics & drag system. The only alteration is the die-cast frame the reel sits within.so it's looking like a 2 7/8's interior arbor, to allow backing & mono capacity

They have a new special edition reel that looks slick . But 800 bucks !!

Looks reel pretty, but will it perform like a 3 dressed up like a 9? I'd be curious to hear from someone who fished that reel for 100 days as to how it stood up.

I talked to them and yes pretty much 5" same as the TMX5

Total diameter will be just under 5", closer to 4 3/4", but still plenty of capacity for 100yds of 30lb backing + 250yds of 30~lb mono (each mono manufacturer has differing diameters so it's a bit tough to get a precise measurement)

The economy version looks good for the price. No way am I spending 800+ for a Chinese made mooching reel. Better options here in that range which support local.

$800 for a salmon reel. My grandpa would role over in his grave. Fishermen are crazy. Me included.
