New law remove drain plug for transport?

Just had this sent to me. Applies to all boats? Or just fresh water use?
Going to be a lot more boats launching with plug not in. lol.

ok, but what if the boat is used in saltwater only, these invasive species do appear to survive in salt water

If you have a certifiable way of proving it is only used on saltwater that they recognize then you may be ok? If not, pull your plug or risk maybe getting a fine.

It might be intended for Fresh Water, but the regulation doesn’t read that way. I guess they don’t want to have to take your word on it, easier to have one blanket reg.
