New Fish Knife

Steelhead S2

My clock turned over again yesterday, and I got one particularly interesting gift. A folding fish knife made by Buck. The blade is a little longer than my Rapala (so 6" I guess). The blade is reasonably flexible. And it looks pretty cool too. So, have any of you used these? Do they hold up well? Do they fall apart in salt water?

Buck's normally hold up well in salt as long as it is made in the USA. They did do a made in China line that rusted in one day on the water. My father collects Buck knives as a hobby so I have had many of them out on the water. On some of them you might find light spoting/rust color that is do to a lower grade of stainless being used.

If if says made in China wash it off right away.

I believe Buck has stoped thier made in China line.

And happy belated Birthday!
F.A. is 100% correct, I have 14 different Bucks, the quaility of the steel varies alot even in the U.S. models.

Happy birthday Steelhead.

Thanks fellas!

It is China made, so I guess frequent washing is in order. But still has the Forever Warranty, so one per season is wine with me. I am on a one per season cycle with leatherman, and it works great. I love goos warranties!
