new boat trailer winch ? advice - PR0S - CONS

Changing out my boat winch on a older magic tilt trailer. Boat is 24 foot grady white . Any one care to offer some advice or things to consider . What brands would you recomend. Thanks in advance Stu

That fulton looks good! I also ran an RC30...STAY AWAY, nothing but trouble from day 1

Yup my RC 30 was good except I broke teeth off the gear piece twice. 1st gear piece was under warranty and I bought the 3rd gear piece. The RC 30 is just too small for my boat so I just purchased the Fulton 500621 from independent marine in coombs for $429.99. I'll have the RC 30 for sale once I swap them out.

That prices seems like to old stock price when they released it last year. That’s a good deal. Did they have others in stock?

Do you know how long the strap is? I can’t find any info on that.

I don’t, but, it’s designed it says for up to a 26 foot boat. Normally they leave excess length. I swap,out the strap normally with synthetic wire rope. It doesn’t build kinetic energy and is hence safer.

Thanks, I looked at one but it only had a 20’ strap, not good when the boat is 24’. Someone’s getting wet.
