Nelson fishing

I am heading up to Nelson to work anyone have some ideas where I can go fishing? I have no boat. Thanks in advance

there are nice trout and walleye in the columbia river in castlegar. You can also cast from shore for trout on kootenay lake and on the arm in nelson. There are hugh geard trout in the lake and trout over 20lbs coming out all the time right now. its been the best fishing in years. call Gill and Gift in Balfour the may know some spots to cast from shore and lures to use!!!

thanks Jac reply I was looking for! Any river or creek mouths checking out there you know of? I would think casting into the lake from shore would require some EGB's, Kitimats or coho spoons?

Queens Bay Point, just past Balfour, and a little further past Kaslo, at the mouth of any of the creeks, which you'll cross as you're driving.
