1- will a Navionics micro SD gold card from and elite work in an HDS when inserted into an SD adaptor?

2- With the recent updates and advances in the digital chart world, what card is most suited for fishing around VI.

well my elite 5 card worked in my Simrad NSS8
so you mite well find it does
only way is to try it out
or give mike perkins a call

If you talking Navionics then a platinum plus card for Van Isle or less expensive the new Navionics Plus card that you can download any charts in North America for 1 year, includes all the detailed new sonar charts and $100 less then the platinum plus. Can get them both at Harbour Chandler in Nanaimo or Sherwood Marine in Victoria.

Ok so since trying the Gold bundle card I have not been impressed at all with the amount of detail available. In fact my old garmin charts had waaaay more detail and contour lines. Which card should I be looking to get if I want up to 2ft contour detail? I also found a MSD/13XG-3 on ebay... Anyone from experience get good detail with this chip?

Go to the Navioncs website and look at the options for getting access to the new Sonar Charts level of detail, way more detail then the standard mapping in Gold and Platinum plus cards.

http://www.navionics.com/en/navionics-plus I got my Navionics Plus card at Sherwood Marine for $200. Now I can get access to the Sonar Charts level of detail. A new Platinum Plus card will give you access to this as well, but is twice the cost.

if you want to sell that gold chip let me know
as i have an elite dsi 5 that now needs one...lol
