Whats the big deal or am I using it wrong.

Fish N Chips mode changes nothing
Cant locate sonar charts
$200 for updating your chart...Are they for real
3D seems lame

Sure it shows pictures of old marinas, ramps and areas that were changed years ago..... Old satellite photos I guess.... But who cares to have old overlaid photos. Seems dumb.

I need help...... In more then one way

Are there any must haves or you got to see and play with these features that I am missing?

I traded my platinum for a CMAP chip. I still have my Gold.

3D just looks cool but is not useful IMO.
Fish n Chips only works on the Great Lakes and USA.
My gold has 1/3 more contour lines than the Platinum had.

I'm not pleased with my platinum either got up sold when I bought my HDS a gold is all I need.

sonar charts and fish n chips mode most definitely does work here on the west coast as I have it in my NSS12. Make sure your new Platinum+ card is updated (takes about an hour to do and they don't come from the store updated). Also, Make sure your new plotter has the latest updates.

You will be very happy with the platinum+ and sonar charts once you get it working.
