my buddys been catching a salmon evey weekend 10-15 pounds
anyone else been catching any salmon (around snake island to winchelses)

headed off to thrasher rock today, got two one about 8lbs and another at a suprising 25 lbs!! I would post pictures but i dont know how, so fishing is good! both fish on a green glow spoon, one fish snapped off a spoon and then we got two morebeauty fish.

where is thrasher rock? never heard of it

thrasher is off of Gabriola island its well known to locals. Its a series of reefs that runs between thrasher's marker and the Green Can. For You nanaimo guys you should just fish fingers[]A 30 lbs spring caught off there at anytime of year, yet alone this time is just incredible!

no worries, im glad to help out a fellow fishermen, the reefs there can be tricky and you may loose gear if you dont know how to fish it, or just are new to the area, but best of luck to ya!
