Yes, good work.

Would be interesting to see how that area is making out on a consistent basis.

People assume the fishing sux at this time of year when in fact there is some great fishing to be had!

Anchovies eh? Interesting!

How long were you guys fishing for?

Amazing that you managed to keep two fish away from the seals at entrance. It must of been to cold for them.;)

we fished the insdie for a couple hours tons and tons of bait but no bites. went towards the outside missed a hit and drop the other side to that depth and every time we passed over the spot we hit another fish .
there was a couple seals following us but did not touch any of the 5 fish, we did think the 18lber was a seal for sure .

hey salty i figure this weekend we will try out the halibut bank if the weather permits. looking at it on the chart and it looks like a worth while trip. Plans are to have one in the boat over 20 this up coming week going to be hittin it hard.

hey Dirty have you been out there before? Will be looking for a third guy on monday. call me or stop by the shop before friday. will be having beers at my place.

Was that you first trip out for a while or have you been getting out on a regular basis.I wan't to get out this weekend be it on the chuck or the river Ill have to see what the weather is doing.

thanks for that fishin magician, that was my main reason for wanting to hit that spot for the next couple of weeks. Heard that there is some really good fishing out there at this time of year.

pssst..take your salmon fishing gear.;)

When you hit the drop offs...if you spend some time there..remember to "catch your limit, but limit your catch" on the rockfish.

No bait required for salmon fishing.

And one other thing...for god sakes and yours...watch the weather, it's open water, and can get dangerous in a hurry.

dont worry fishin magician im not going out there for cod, only salmon, as for the weather i always check the weather report, as a guide on the west coast i spend lots of time out at the big bank and have a very seaworthy boat. and i have to ask why you had said that bait is not needed for salmon, i have my best luck fishing with anchovie at any time of year. In fact i have the biggest winter spring reported in the nanaimo to date.

thanks for the concern
the wet one
