Congratulations--just remember----all the years with kids are cool, but pay lots of attention for the next four or five--pretty amazing to see them begin to grasp their faculties one by one (learning to speak is the best) Try to be around so you can get every minute you can. I had to travel for some of those years due to business--missed some of those moments with my second daughter (never saw her first steps) but saw it with my first daughter (her first steps were on the banks of the Kispiox River--very cool)
And don't let your Buds razz you and tell you your fishing days are over---when my daughter was six days old the wife and I took her to the river and I got a steelhead on my first cast (no shiat) , with two more to follow. I had the wife take a picture and send it to the guy who razzed me the worst just to rub it in.
Here's a picture of the Baptismal rites of Daughter No. 1. (a few weeks old)

Picture of the same daughter this past winter----
and the same daughter two weeks ago:
Man oh man, time does fly with those kids---now she's gone, off in Europe somewhere all grown up and flown the coop--- Pay lots of attention while you can--- we only rent our kids; long-term ownership is not an option....good luck!
