Been slow in the local waters. Only got 2 springs so far.Just got back from port alberni on thurs. that was my first try on the island.Had a blast took my 14 yr.old.He doesn,t fish much. 1st nite no fish,2nd day no fish,starting to worry a little.Some old guy said to use a flasher and a bare black hook on a 27 inch leader,tried it the next am.6 sockeye.Then went to bamfield, fish everywhere.The next day thurs.am using bare hooks no sockeye, but hooked 2 springs right off china creek, go figure.
