I don't have the same beer cooler on this one :( .. Reason being, is when I sold the last boat, a lot of people who saw that bitched about it, so I closed the opening with a big chunk of aluminium. Just means I have to get rid of the wobbly's before they warm up!

Couple guys are gonna come out with me for the sea trial and help launch.. It is really amazing how when the boat is ready for water, everyone is ready to help and go fishing, but when I am on the roof in the frigging hail, or grinding fiberglass, or falling off the roof in my driveway, there is no one to be found LOL!

Saturday, 10:00 AM.. I can't wait.

Very cool boat LC, its really coming together nicely. Do you have any interior pics of her yet? I am having my pod built by Rob at Big Rock Metalcraft in Duncan. Should be on the boat this weekend.

LC Where are u going to seatrial in the am.Fishing is good off Constance as well as Albert Head I'll be out in the morning give me a shout on the VHF

Great to hear. the boat launched and bloodied on the same day.
Must be nice to finally hit the water. You can feel pride in her now, what with all your work.
Congrats

LastChance, I was wondering if you could repost the photos from the beginning of the thread. I'm really interested on how the conversion looks.

Any chance you have photos of the interior? In this style of Hourston, can you stand up in cabin?

Thanks in advance.

I'm going to take some new shots tomorrow, it's in the water done finished with signage. I am 6'6", jumbo size, and have no trouble standing in the cabin. I'm at West Bay Marina, I'm probably going to be messing around on the boat in the early afternoon, drop me a line if you are in the area and want to see yourself. Here is one shot of the pod, boat still looks like a turd with teh windows not painted yet:

Awesome, thanks. Looks like there is a ton of room in that boat. I'm 6'1", so sounds like I'd be good. Any idea what the weight is, for towing purposes?

I'd love to come down and see it, unfortunately I am in the lower mainland. I won't be over to Victoria until Easter weekend to visit family.

Cheers.

Take this for what it is...
I think the hourston hull is great but that's where it ends....
I do love the outboard power choice and I will look forward to hereing some fuel numbers as I have some similar suzukis as well.
Here's what you should do with the the cabin in my opinion on any 23-26 class Hourston...and I've fished on this boat and it's a world class set up for our type of fishing...just my opinion remember
