Hey Guys,

Just wanted an opinion of fishing Milbanke Sound in late August....21rst -25th.

Is it worth booking? I have an offer from a business associate and just curious if things start to slow down notably by then?

Cheers and thanks for any opinons.

Yes Spring fishing starts to slow after the middle of August but there are often so many Coho it's stupid.

And of course later in the season many bigger fish are taken-I have seen a number over 40#, one over 60# and this was caught by one of my associates-an easy 55#.

Hey Pippen it can still be pretty good fishing at that time there are still springs around especially out at Mcinnis Isl. and down at Cape Mark. Inside at Cheny, Wurlte Isl, Ivory, Cape Swaine can be a bit slower for the springs but lots of nice big cohos around. I guided there with West Coast for a couple years and Big Time for 5 years. I remeber one of the years it was one of the last trips of summer, and one of the unguided boats bagged a 56# spring and 22# coho at Idol pt inside seaforth channel. I would say book the trip you won't be disappointed. Hey Dog thats a great pic of Harry and that spring I think it was 58#.

I'm heading to Whiskey Cove Area for 4 nights on Aug 11th, I can't wait and I hope there will be some spings and coho around. I hope to be able to fish outside and also at Idol point, I have caught Springs at Idol in May but I don't know about mid august if there in the channel or not?
