First and most important, Thank you to the Moderators who run this site and give us a place to speak our opinions and truths as well as a place for others to read those same thoughts. I have found it a very valuable asset in my constant search to become a better fisherman in every sense.
Second, this is a business and needs to be run that way. There is an "Employee manual" that clearly states what the moderators feel is appropriate and where they draw the line. This is not just suggested but requested and should be followed or expulsion or reprimand is necessary. Opinions that are in clear violation of the rules need to be dealt with and attitudes that are excessively aggressive or condesending in nature need to be removed. This is the thankless job of the moderators who we are here, in this thread, trying to thank
Third, I have read several posts by now banned members that were knowledgable and informative. Some clearly are true outdoorsman and fisherman with facts that I enjoyed learning and opinions that they have discovered with time. I assume for them to be banned they also have opinions or made comments that overstepped the bounds. There is nothing wrong with others backing up a banned member and requesting he be reinstated as long as they are not being disrespectful of the moderator who was forced to make the decision.
I have no issue with what is clearly good banter between two parties who seem to know each other and either agree to disagree or is just trying to get a rise out of a bud. We get to learn a little more about guys this way and is usefull to how much you should trust thier opinion for fishing stuff. The rest of the nasty opinions and arguing is just bar talk that would not usually be said or perhaps shouldn't be said. We are not all of the same opinon and arguement is good when constructive. Lets see more of that and less of the personal bashing.
