No boat or nothing maybe a pair of waiters but that's about all. We don't have any kokanee here in manitoba so I'm really hoping to hook into one.

If this is the case you’ll want to focus on some of the smaller Stillwater’s where rainbows and potentially brookies can be more easily caught from shore (generally bait fishing). It’s been a long time since I have shore fished but will send you a PM with a couple spots. There are easy places like Shannon Lake right in Kelowna or some more scenic places like Kentucky-Alleyne. If you have room you can find float tubes pretty cheap on marketplace and then likely resell for $20 less when your done with it.

Read the regs carefully as I would guess there will be a few funny differences coming from MB.
