I love seeing those big pods of dolphins offshore as it usually seems to be an indicator that I will soon run into albacore However, seeing them is often a love hate thing as from a distance, they can be confused for albies. The typical "call" is "Albies over there", followed by a pulse rate increase, a quick turn and a brief disappointment to find dolphins, followed by a slight uptick in mood as I know that albies are likelky not too far away. Now if only albacore would discover the strait of Georgia. It would make running for tuna so much easier.
