Lowrance vs simrad

Hey guys buying electronics for new boat I need 2 fish finder units so I’m looking at Lowrance HDS live 12 and 9 inch
Your thoughts versus Simrad units?

both the same company. i like the round zoom in-out knob on the Simrad units very fast rendering. that’s …that’s all i got

Exactly same I have both 2. I prefer my Lowrance myself.

Can’t really compare the Simrad go to a hds live as you lose a lot of the functionality with having no buttons or pads use. A nss compared to a hds hands down nss all day long imo.

only issue i have with Simrad and i run them.
is that older models they no longer support with updates evo-2 is now no longer being supported.....

lowrance on the other hand you can still find info on lots of there older products
you can still get the old updates /manuals etc .....

but both are good units just get the newest you can afford ........
and check that there N2K and Ethernet linkable to each other
