so here's the story was rushing the the boat back to deep bay after a week in ukee hit a tree with the top and ripped the gps antena off last summer(should add i was rushing becouse i went three days after the birth of my 1st child)but i digress just finished installing the new one to find out all my waypoints are gone. Not sure if this is the result of the new antena. No problem right i have them all backed up on my hand held WRONG loned it to a buddy to take on the west coast trail and he erased everything. So i am throwing myself at your mercy for any waypoints you might be willing to give up.I know there like gold and im not asking for secret spots just some help to replace what took a number of years to build up after talking to many friendly and helpful guys in the harbour thanks in advance for any help

That sucks, sorry I don't have any way points to share.
Not to be "you shoulda done this..." but backing up to your computer once in a while could really save your butt in this respect, plus it can give you a chance to reflect on fishing patterns your seeing. You can also clean up the file by getting rid of the 400 tracks and the 50 garbage waypoints you have there, then save the file, delete the gps and upload the new file. If you have program like Mapsource (Garmin) or others, great. Otherwise a great free (but limited a bit in the free version) program is GPS Utility (http://www.gpsu.co.uk/). I use it a lot for work and you can use it with just about any GPS and save it as lots of different file types including Google Earth so you can open it up and see your grab trap spots or ling cod holes against a satellite image...

PM me if you have any questions. I'm a bit of a map dork (geologist!).

The worst day fishing is better than the best day working...

Here is another good GPS waypoint program:

I've been using this one for years, and I see that it got updated just yesterday!
