Looking for wire coat hangers

Has anybody else tried this? Bending up your own spreader bars using wire coat hangers. Have made quite a few this year and are loving them!
Give a nice little whip to the bait while bouncing on the waves.
Problem is they dont last very long in salt water and they are tough to find now.
Anyone know where to find them?

can get you as many as you want hundreds kicking around the fire hall we usually send them to recycling let me knoe

I bend mine out of stainless Tig welding rod. They're cheap to make and last well. Just make up a bending jig.

I have a heck of a stack at home....keep forgetting to toss them out or recycle them. You are welcome to em'.

If you come into the shop at Canadian Tire in Gordon Head today you can have as many as you want. Ask for Don.:)

have made them with ss tig rod, found they were not any cheaper than buying them, plus all the f***ing around, can but them for $3.00
