I'm looking for any Heddon Winona reels if anyone has them that they're willing to part with. I'd like later model 105's, but 108's are nice to. The one I'm hoping to find is a nickle plated model 105, but I'd be interested in any Winona's that are in good shape.

User or collector?
I only have one 105 (blue).
Original box with, I think, the original price on it - 6.57.

Not for sale though.
One of these days I'm going to clean it up and put it on my river rod and give it a try.

Any advice on using it?

I'm a bit of both actually. I have one that I still use for fishing Steelies and Coho and it works awesome. I'd suggest you use a braided line instead of mono. The pegs that the line rests on isn't great for mono because of the memory that it has. After a short time the mono will have kinks in it. You have to remember that the reel you have would have been made before 1929 and they only had braided lines back then. I use Tuf-line on mine.
