Londons Opening Cerimonies

I must say I was a little unimpressed for the most part. Beijing certainly has nothing to worry about. Any other thoughts? eman

I didn't see the London opening ceremonies, but I think Beijing will stand atop that pedestal for decades to come. That performance was ridiculous. I can only imagine the internment they threatened those Chinese kids with should they have taken one foot out of step! lol. All kidding aside, I think it will never be topped.

They said it was supposed to be like a live movie but I found it very hard to follow, There were still some pretty cool things going on though

I loved it, especially the comical parts, Mr. Bean with the LSO, and the Queen jumping out of the helicopter with James Bond! The musical montage and dancing was great. But was it worth 60 million to put on?

A bunch of 80's dressed people dancing around to clips of good music with some weird house in the middle. Not really impressed. But dont really care lol. Not about the sports just the o.c.

Liked the part when the old fart Paul Mcartney sang. Lots of color,singing,dancing etc.Hoping our athletes perform as expected with a surprise or two.Be interesting to see if Simon Whitfield and Sarah Huqhes can win another medal.

the queen was the highlight of the entire event. what a sport she is when it comes to stuff like this. i wish she belonged to the USA, we sure need someone of this high character. the rest of the opening was very boring.

Had a live blog open at the BBC website as I watched it and they were explaining what was going on, what things represented etc. Thought it was pretty cool.
