Lingcod or Rock in the Comox area

Just getting started this year and would like to catch some lingcod or rock, anyone of any good areas around between comox and campbell river.

Find a spot on the chart with a rocky base preferably with some slope-- 30-150 ft. Good tide flow helps too.

Lingcod and rockfish are currently closed in all areas around Comox and Campbell River. The opening is not until late spring.

Yup, ling and rock cod are closed this time every year. You could scout some spots in the meantime. Kelp Greenling can be a good alternative and are open
