line

"if I could re-write the alphabet, I would put U and I together" .... I always like that LINE :) I think your post above is woefully inadequate with details. Please fill more details ie: what fish, where... it might help with a better answer than mine :)

60 for hootchies, 40 for spoons and plugs for salmon, some would go lighter for bait heads: 150 or 200 or white gangion for halibut.
4 lb fluorocarbon for chironomids.
10 lb or lighter for marlin if you want to get your picture on a fish torture website.

50lb seaguar Fluoocarbon for hoochies & off shore plugs... 40lb Seaguar for anchovy's .... 30lb Seaguar for spoons... the line is bullet proof...if I was to us Mono.. Maxima ulta green or Berkley Big game 40lb.. my 2 bits :)

I like the Seaguar stuff as well.

40lb maxima.... I realize your not supposed to cheap out on line but wow that Seaguar stuff is pricey!

Maxima is a great leader material...the most expensive in mono....The reason for Seaguar for me is it is super tough and I can re-use the leader on many fish before a re tie or a new leader....for me saves money & time over the long run.... :)

Seaguar all the way. I know it's pricey, but why take a chance with the most important part of the equipment.

x3 on maxima ultra

made in germany..can't go wrong there..not like them to under-engineer a product

(just bought some of their fluoro to test..) $48 @ 220yd fer 40lb

I hear tell Maxima is under-rated (15lb is actually a 17-18lb breaking strength)...

im going to stack rods this year so im thinking it would be worth getting a few different colors to make them easier to untangle. also use braid on the riggers so im really playing with fire.
